Karsu won on Friday 24th of June the Edison Audience Award 2016 during the Edison Jazz/World, for her album Colors. The Edison Audience Award is an initiative of the Edison Foundation and the magazine Jazzism. The Edison award is one of the oldest music awards in the world. Since 1960, many musicians in the Netherlands received this desired price.

As a nominee Karsu sang the song Domates, Biber, Patlican with the Metropole Orchestra.

Karsu thanked everyone who voted for her and who had a role in the creation of the album Colors. Special thanks were to Nelson & Djosa, the album’s producers.

After the presentation of the Edison Karsu gave a thunderous concert with her five-piece band in Lantaren Venster at InJazz Rotterdam.
